University union opens itself up for compensation claims as it tells students to use gender neutral pronouns so as ‘not to offend transgender undergraduates’ but could seriously offend Multi-Gender students
A university is encouraging students to use the gender-neutral pronoun ‘ze’ instead of ‘she and ‘he’.
The students’ union wrote in a leaflet that the move was intended to reduce the risk of transgender students being offended.
Students hope that the use of ‘ze’ will continue into university lectures and seminars, reported The Sunday Times.
According to a university’s behaviour code, using the wrong pronoun to define a transgender person is an offence.
What about Multi-Gender students?
It seems that in the rush for a leftist crackpot liberal elite politically correct moronic utopia, the union has tripped itself up and made a slight cockup (excuse the pun).
What about students who identify as Multi-Gender?
Multi-gender can be gender neutral, gender positive or multiple gender identities at the same time but only wishing to be identified as just one of these, all of them together or neither of them in any one particular gender identity description or title permanently.
A Multi-Gender student may decide that a label to describe a (particular) gender or non-gender is highly offensive, especially if a student identifies as Multi-Gender being either/or ‘Gender Neutral’ being of no gender identity or orientation, ‘Gender Positive’ identifying as both male and female at the same time or on alternative days, or total ‘Multi-Gender’ being both male, female, and/or combining all three being both male, female and none of these at all at any one time.
A Multi-Gender student may change gender identity between lectures, or even identify as multiple identities by choice in any given hour, minute or moment.
Combined Multi-Gender, Gender Positive and Gender Neutral students could rightly have a case for massive compensation claims and discrimination on the grounds of –
1.) Being discriminated against by an act of grouping within marginalised categories, He, She, Ze.
2.) Being denied a gender identity as a multi-Gender or a non-Gender identity in preference or orientation in one category of its own as a none-category or all-categories together as one identity.
3.) Being wrongly labelled or described on different days if an individual changes gender identity on any particular day if the individual chooses to be Multi-Gender (i.e – individually male or female, gender neutral and gender positive – male and female at the same time and/or none of these at the same time with no identifying category or labeling).
An individual may choose to identify as both a male and a female at the same time (Gender Positive) on one day, or they may choose an individual identity on another day as either just a male or a female but still identify as being Multi-Gender, but just (in part) on one particular day.
They may choose (Gender Neutral) and no identity whatsoever on other days.
To be labelled as ‘Ze’ could be highly offensive to Gender Positive, Gender Neutral and especially Multi-Gender individuals who may identify as either gender.
Multi-Gender possible multiple gender identities in stages
A Multi-Gender student could in theory identify as such – (a female identifying as a male, identifying as male and female, identifying as neither female or male, but as a male wishing to be identified as female on that particular day).
The graph below shows the theoretical identity stages as they happen (described above) in gender identity of a Multi-Gender person. These stages are not fixed, they could alternate throughout the day from hour to hour or even by the minute. To refer to a Multi-Gender person as (Ze) would be highly offensive, distressing, discriminatory and damaging.
Peter Tatchell, an LGBT rights campaigner, told MailOnline: ‘It is a positive thing to not always emphasise gender divisions and barriers.
‘It is good to have gender-neutral pronouns for those who want them but it shouldn’t be compulsory.
‘This issue isn’t about being politically correct or censoring anyone. It’s about acknowledging the fact of changing gender identities and respecting people’s right to not define themselves as male or female.
‘Giving people the ‘ze’ option is a thoughtful, considerate move.’
Cambridge University made the indication that they also wanted to move in a similar direction.
Sophie Buck, welfare officer of the Students Union said: ‘Events start with a speaker introducing themselves using a gender neutral pronoun.
‘It’s part of a drive to make the union intersectional.’
Franky Sissons, a transgender student at King’s College at Cambridge said: ‘Gender neutral pronouns are good…It should happen in lectures too.’
The Mail on Sunday recently reported on a a guidebook for teachers, parents and pupils to that had be sent to schools around Britain advising against using language that suggests there are only two genders.
It encouraged avoiding using the terms ‘boys’ and ‘girls’ in case of potentially offending transgender pupils.
Jordan Peterson, a professor in Canada, uploaded a video on YouTube discussing his refusal to use gender neural pronouns.
He said he was heckled and his office door was glued shut.
He said: ‘UK universities should resist this. Whole disciplines have become irretrievable from these doctrines.’
